Description
The Bilby takes a number of structural peculiarities to grotesque lengths yet manages to reconcile them all in a surprisingly harmonious and even beautiful whole" - Hedley Finlayson

This Bilby, though she may be shy at first, is guaranteed to be a kind a sweet friend once you get to know her. She loves digging, jumping, and finding pretty pictures in the clouds.

Now for some of the technical side of things

US terms (Click the toggle on Ribblr to switch to UK), crocheted in the round and including magic circles/rings, chaining, increases, decreases, and front/back loop only stitches, all done in single crochet.
Good pattern for advanced beginners, intermediates, or advanced. It does have a fair bit of colourwork and counting involve which may look daunting for beginners, but practice makes perfect and if you have any trouble at all you can feel free to reach out at any time for help.

Materials Needed

Yarn (All in Medium/4 Weight. This can be changed, but all yarns used should be the same weight to keep the dimensions. Yardage will change depending on yarn, hook, and tension, so the yardage below is a rough estimate only.): Colour A: Tan/Grey for the main body. Pictured is Lion Brand Heartland Grand Canyon ~45 yards Colour B: Light Grey for the belly, neck, and ears. Pictured is Lion Brand Heartland Mount Rainier ~20 yards Colour C: Off White/Peach/Tan for the nose and paws. Pictured is Spotlight 4 Seasons Marvel Soft 8ply ~10 yards Colour D: Black for the tail. Pictured is Lion Brand Heartland Black Canyon ~2 yards Colour E: Off White/White for the tail. Pictured is Spotlight 4 Seasons Marvel Soft 8ply ~3.5 yards

3.00mm crochet hook to keep the stitches nice and tight.

Plastic safety eyes, buttons, a little bit of fabric, or a bit of black yarn to make the pupils of the eyes. Ive used 8mm safety eyes in the Bilby pictured.

Stuffing

Sewing pins to keep things in place as you stitch (not absolutely necessary, but can help keep things from sliding around)

Marker to keep track of rounds (I use an extra little piece of yarn)

Yarn needle (or smaller if you prefer to attach pieces with thread), scissors, general etc.
