This pattern is definitely intermediate and can be difficult to follow. I feel that the written instructions need better punctuation for people to understand when there is a color change. I'm still grateful for the free pattern because my penguin came out cute although it's not identical to the picture it's still very adorable .Thank you for posting this pattern ,just be aware that it can be difficult for beginners and it does state that it's intermediate.

I am in love with this little penguin! Highly recommend this pattern! Easy to follow directions. I used chenille yarn with a 4mm hook. Finished project around 4.5 inches high. Would be great for markets.
