I did not use the recommended yarn, I had gotten jumbo yarn on major discount and was urged to make something real quick So I made this, I wanted a jumbo chicken! Easy pattern. I know the face on mine ended up not that great but that's my fault, haha, the jumbo makes a face difficult. I chose not to do wings, I like it as is.

Super cute, quick & easy to follow chicken! It will make a perfect gift! I did use a 6.5 hook for the body & wings instead of 8 due to my available hooks and all yarn except the comb was premier chenille from dollar tree. Soft and decent to work up, a bit of shedding but not too bad.

Love this pattern. It's easy to follow and the finished product is simple in design but extremely affective. By changing up your yarn type and hook size it's easy to adjust your chickens in sizing. I'm going to have fun making many many chickens

This reminds me of my grandmother who sadly passed years ago. It's a super easy make super cute as well! I made mine without the wings! I used a weight 4 acrylic yarn and 12 mm safety eyes I think. Would absolutely recommend you make this little one, don't be a chicken! Lol

OMG! I wanted to make a chicken so bad, I chose this pattern and I don't regret it at all! She turned out super cute, chunky, fluffy, squishy, and adorable! This pattern was so easy to work with! I didn't know how to make one stitch for the red part but I googled it and I got how to do it! I used a 6mm hook for the body with white Yarn Bee Chenille yarn and used Yarn Bee Velvet Yarn for the details (the beak and the red part). I loved how easy this was, I would 100% recommend this pattern for beginners, intermediates, and even experts! It's perfect for market preps, gifts, and whatever you want to do with it! This was for a gift but I'll definitely make another one for me!
