Description
The Bernice Tote bag is a beginner friendly pattern that was designed to teach absolute beginners all the basic skills and stitches in crochet that is needed to help them progress from beginner to intermediate. Now includes downloadable pdf pattern, please note that the pdf is not interactive and doesn't include the videos.

The pattern is broken up into five parts and starts with the granny square, with full details on working in the round, joining, adding new colours and working in rows, finishing off with making a lining. There are also complete video tutorials to help along the way.

The original bag was made using an acrylic double knit with a 4mm hook. Acrylic DK can stretch hence the bag lining, but you also like to try a 100% cotton double knit. Cotton doesn't stretch like regular yarns and will have a cleaner finish.

Square Target and Sunshine Lace squares have been sourced from the book 200 Blocks for Blankets and Afghans by Jan Eaton.
